The book is a counting book, and involves many animals getting into a tree - somewhat similar to Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Overall impression - a very good book, suited to read aloud to a pre-schooler.
The illustrations are very different from the usual run of childrens illustrations (these are done in the style of Gond Tribals) and my children were somewhat confused initially, but they really liked the drawings by the end of the book. The rhymes about the numbers are lyrical and make for easy reading aloud, they are also absurd enough to appeal to small children (pigs and cows in a tree?). My 2-year old liked it enough to demand an immediate re-read, she also wanted to "read" it to herself, and the large format of the book made it easy for her to turn pages and get to particular illustrations she liked.
