Sawnet - Cinema -
is an award-winning videomaker, poet and writer, who is of Filipino and Indian heritage. She is the marketing and distribution director at Third World Newsreel, which specializes in films by and about people of color. She has a MFA from the Film and Television program, NYU.

A four minute experimental video about race, culture and relationships. Those four short minutes, full of images, historical flashbacks and pulsating music, pack a lot of punch. The film won the Grand Prize at the 19th Poetry Film/Video Festival in San Francisco.
